About Sunshine Holiday Lights

What started as a spontaneous idea between two best friends, Garrett Ross and Dylan Mulhearn, in Gainesville has grown into a passion for spreading holiday cheer. One afternoon, Dylan received a call while working for his father's electrical contracting company—someone was asking about holiday light installation, a service they didn’t offer. Dylan saw an opportunity, and that evening, he brought the idea to Garrett. Together, they launched GNV Holiday Lights, hitting the streets with flyers and offering custom holiday lighting to their local community.

Over the past four years, we’ve grown from that small idea into a trusted name for elegant holiday lighting in Gainesville and surrounding areas. Our mission has always been simple: to bring families and communities together through the magic of holiday lights.

Now, we’re excited to take that same passion and experience to both Gainesville and the greater Tampa Bay area as Sunshine Holiday Lights. We will continue to provide the same personalized, full-service holiday lighting that has made our customers happy season after season. From design to installation, maintenance, and storage, we ensure your holiday season is hassle-free and bright, no matter where you are.

Co-Owner

Dylan Mulhearn

Dylan was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida. Dylan attended Mississippi State University and started GNV Holiday lights shortly after he returned home. Dylan is a third-generation business owner in the Gainesville community following his father and grandfather. With GNV Holiday Lights, Dylan has mixed his love for the holiday season with his passion for entrepreneurship and looks forward to continuing to provide elegant lighting to Gainesville and surrounding areas.

Garrett Ross

Garrett has been in the Gainesville area for nearly 20 years. He will soon be a second-generation University of Florida graduate. He followed in his father's footsteps in becoming a small business owner here in Gainesville. Garrett brings his enthusiasm for people as well as hard work to the team here at GNV Holiday lights to make sure everyone we service has an enjoyable experience.
